Did you know there’s a concrete plant in the middle of Granville Island? I often hear people referencing that Harbour Quay could be like a mini-Granville Island and I completely agree.

The story of how Granville Island came to be is actually incredibly interesting and offers a lot of takeaways for communities like ours to learn from. The focus was to create a “people-place” while still reflecting on its industrial maritime heritage.
